The Graduate School of International Culture and Communication Studies (GSICCS) was established in 2013 as a part of the Faculty of International Research and Education at Waseda University. Offered as both Masters and Doctoral programs, the Teaching English as a Second Language courses aim to equip learners to become skilled teachers and researchers in the field of applied linguistics. Students specialise in a range of areas ranging from integration of technology in language teaching and learning, teacher and learner motivation, native-speakerism, development of learner autonomy, social aspects of language learning, and so forth.

We are delighted to host the International CALL Research Conference in 2022. Even though we won’t be able to see you in person this year, we believe that this event will stimulate interest in the field of CALL and provide a forum for researchers and scholars to exchange their views regarding the latest research.
